Description
I am João Pedro Cândido Aranha de Sousa e Menezes, I was born in Évora and grew up in Cascais, being the youngest of four siblings. My trajectory has been marked by a constant search for knowledge, challenges and balance between personal and professional life.
I am the father of two children, Simão and Pedro who I love, Pedro being the smallest and still studying abroad.
I graduated in Business Management and, over time, I deepened my knowledge with two postgraduate degrees and several advanced courses at INDEG ISCTE. From a very early age, sport was part of my life. I played rugby in Cascais from the age of 10 to 25, where I had the honor of being team captain and winning a national championship. That experience in sport, especially rugby, taught me valuable lessons about leadership, teamwork and overcoming challenges.
Professionally, I started my career in banking, where I worked for three banks in various areas, such as strategic marketing, brand management, mass market commercial and private banking. I also had the opportunity to be involved in the birth and development of Banco BPI's partnership project. I have always been very focused on achieving the goals that were proposed to me and, over the years, I have managed to obtain good results. I decided to leave the banking industry on my own initiative 8 years ago, in search of new challenges.
Today, I am a partner in a financial consulting company and also work in the area of real estate consulting, an area in which I started to get involved in mid-2023. I believe that this professional transition has allowed me to apply all the knowledge acquired over the years and continue to evolve, helping other people and companies to make strategic decisions.
In my life, I have always sought to be fair, intellectually honest, and I try to be a good son and a good father. Family has always been one of the most important pillars for me. I am convinced that the basis for a balanced and happy life lies in cultivating good family relationships and being faithful to our values.
Sport continues to be a fundamental part of my life. Currently, I practice Crossfit and triathlon, two challenges that keep me motivated to improve every day, both physically and mentally. Sport is, without a doubt, one of my greatest passions and continues to teach me the importance of discipline, persistence and overcoming limits.
In short, I try to live in a balanced way, focusing on professional success, my health and well-being, and, above all, my family, which is what really gives me the strength and motivation to continue moving forward.
